Ouch!

The El Paso Times delivered its mandated circulation report on page 5A of Thursday’s dead tree edition, and it’s not pretty.

On July 25, 2025, the date of record for the posting, the El Paso Times claimed a paid distribution of 3,587 printed copies. The average paid distribution of the 12 months prior was 4,108.

That’s not very many.

On July 25, 2025, there were 224 paid electronic subscriptions, and the average for the 12 months prior was 304.

And it’s not getting any better. Most of the data for that date of record were 6 percentage points lower than the previous year.

  1. What can you expect? This rag only represents the people in the community, after all. We lack education, generally, and the quality of reporting has been in a steady decline since the 90s, and people get their news and misinformation from so many other sources nowadays.
