MountainStar contracted with a sports marketing management consulting company to conduct a survey to gauge El Paso’s interest in their proposed soccer venture, with which they’re hoping El Paso taxpayers will spot them a futbol stadium.
The emails went out to “valued members of the El Paso community,” but perhaps your email address was inadvertently left off the list, or your survey got lost in the mail.
Never fear. Here’s the link to participate. It only takes ten minutes, and I’m sure MountainStar would love to hear what you think.
Don’t forget to show your work. And no cheating.
In the comments section, I left this: I’m particularly upset that you’d try to foist another idea that would cost El Paso taxpayers more taxes. You’re rich enough you can buy your own property, build your own arena, and run the stadium. Southwest University Park is already going to cost us 20 million dollars by the end of the bond on it. Stop using the taxpayers as your personal piggy bank.
I tried to leave a comment yesterday, but had internet problems, I guess. At any rate, I did respond to the survey as negatively as I felt I could. And, I thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do not need to add this cost to the already expensive toys we are buying for certain rich folks.
The fact that I am not a fan of soccer does not mean that if only private money was used it would be more acceptable…
Soccer is what Americans watch when they’ve lost every shred of hope and self esteem.
You crack me up. Anything built from now on will always have some fee foisted on the taxpayers in a pernicious way. Almost unapologetic when it hurts our familiy financial plans
