I’ve been remiss.
For a long little while, the Alberto Balderas Bullring in downtown Juarez had a banner hanging on the front of it that said it was available for public and private events. I.e., they weren’t hosting any bullfights.
But this month a new banner went up, announcing four bullfights before the end of the year.
Okay, you already missed the first one. But the next one is tomorrow. Dates in November are the third and the twenty-second. November 3 is a Sunday, with a start time of 5 pm. The other bullfights start at 8 on Fridays.
Interesting. I would go with my grandparents when I was very young and it was exciteing as it was packed into a section of downtown Juarez. It was smaller and more compact than La Plaza Monumental one out on 16 of September (now a Walmart & Parking lot). Controversial now definitely but its roots go back (in Mexico) to 1526.
