Average Household Salary: $36,410
College Readiness Ranking: 51
Health Ranking: 67
Well-Being Ranking: 6
Crime Ranking: 3
Average Commute Time: 23.2 minutes
Wait a minute. Our College Readiness Ranking is 51, and our Health Ranking is 67, and El Paso is still the ninth best place to live in the U.S.? I guess if intelligent conversation and good health isn’t a priority for you.
And obviously that average commute time is an old number.
And what’s the best place to live in the United States? Why, McAllen, Texas, of course.
I love El Paso, but I have to question the study’s methodology.
