The lucha libre season at Arena Kalaka is closing out this Sunday. Arena Kalaka is over there on Melchor Ocampo, at the corner of 2do Ugarte, in, you know, downtown Juarez.
The event Sunday features a tag team match between Sanson and Cuatrero, a couple of wrestlers from the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, with Monaguillo, versus Hijo del Impostor, Centinela, and Siriuz. Also, there’s a three-way match for the championship of the Metropolitan Promotions 2017 season.
Plus I bet they sell beer. Maybe you should bring a flask just in case they don’t. Or I understand there are some bars fairly nearby, but that’s probably not a neighborhood you should go wandering around in without me.
The event starts around 6. First row seats are $250 (pesos), or about $14 U.S., and General Admission is $80, about $4.50 U.S.
Melchor Ocampo angles off right there at the bridge. If you don’t pay attention you might wind up on Mariscal. (It’s happened to me more times then I care to remember, but not when I was looking for Melchor Ocampo.)
You should go so you can be the envy of your friends.
Check it out.
