Mr. Bob Moore, editor of the El Paso Times, informed me via Facebook that the Specific Interest Committee Campaign Finance Report which reported that Western Refining donated $50,000 in support of the El Paso Independent School District $669 million bond, which would raise the company’s tax liability, was revised to show that the donation was a personal donation from Western Refining’s Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman Paul Foster.
I regret any discomfort my reporting on an outdated Campaign Finance Report may have caused.
