I’m just speculating here. But I think the truth lies behind this statement, as quoted from the El Paso Times:
The letter indicated the ownership group wanted “increased process controls.” Hunt would not say specifically what that request entailed, but did say that “anytime you’re putting up more money, you want to put up some level of control.”
To me, that’s the movers of Mountain Star telling the City to get out of the way. Because you know those bureaucrats at the City mean well, god bless ’em, but sometimes they’re hamstrung by the fear for their bureaucratic lives. I think Mr. Hunt was just being polite by not lambasting them in public.
