This story from our friends at La Polaka tells us about two matronly types who were arrested in Juarez for retailing small amounts of pot.
In other words,
The sisters Esperanza Salas, 50 years old, and Celia Salas, 51, were arrested by state police for selling drugs in the Bella Vista neighborhood.
They’ve been in the marijuana business for some time, but they haven’t been arrested because they always hid their drugs well when agents came to search their home.
Police burst into their house near the corner of Violetas and Estaño with a search warrant.
The women said they were “pushers” because the couldn’t find work.
Between the two of them the cops confiscated about a pound of weed and a hundred and fifty bucks.
Sensationalistically, the house is a couple of blocks from the Aliviane rehab center where gunmen killed sixteen residents in 2009.
