Highlights include Percentage of Households that Speak Spanish in the Home (64.2%) and Percentage of Workforce Employed by Local, State, and Federal Government (20.4%). In all of Texas, the percentage of households that speak a language other than English at home is 35.1%, and the percentage of the workforce employed by governments is 13.9%.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole you can check out the City’s Economic Snapshot from the City’s Economic and International Development Department, but lots of the information there is for El Paso County and not the city. I guess maybe the information for the city (like our stagnant population growth) doesn’t promote economic development.
