Poor Ann Morgan Lilly. She’s like the queen of a country that no longer exists, and she can’t quite come to terms with the new reality.
The former District 1 Representative filed an ethics complaint with the city’s Ethics Review Committee over the tiff she and her husband Rutt got into with the mayor last Tuesday over at Thyme Matters.
You’ll remember that the City’s Ethics Review Committee was recently revived after failing to have enough members to make a quorum since 2012 or 2013. City Council gutted the committee by not appointing new members. Remember who was on City Council at the time?
That’s right. Ann Morgan Lilly.
You’ll also likely recall that a city employee filed a police report against Ms. Lilly after she allegedly struck him when he came to her house to trim a tree that was blocking a stop sign. I believe our District Attorney is still investigating that claim.
You know, our D.A. has got a lot on his plate. He can’t go chasing down every little criminal complaint against public officials. Who’s got the time?
