This movie employs some interesting tropes. The hero says, “When I used to be policeman, everybody had to do what I said.” And in another part of the movie, he promises a girl that he’ll take her to Florida, but after he gets the information he wants, he pushes her down the stairs to distract a gunman. And he’s the hero. I guess that’s what makes this movie “noir.”
