The El Paso Times Letter of the Day for October 1, 2012
The surreptitious way in which this baseball stadium/relocated City Hall was foisted on citizens, who will ultimately pay taxes for it, is a disgrace I haven’t experienced in my 70 years in this city.
I first learned of this project several months before it became public. Why? If there isn’t a hidden agenda in the deal, why the cloak-and-dagger approach? Was it to provide a good laugh to those who can afford to take out full-page ads when those of us who have also lived and contributed to the community are watching their incomes dwindle?
