Mexico has come out with some new banknotes.
The 500 peso note is blue. It has a picture of Benito Juarez on it. It’s worth a little more than $25 U.S.
The old 20 peso note is blue, too. It, too, has a picture of Benito Juarez on it. It’s worth a few pennies more than a U.S. dollar.
Imagine that you’re in some crepuscular cantina in Ciudad Juarez. Imagine you’ve had a couple of shots of Don Pedro. Then imagine you had a couple more.
(It might be easier for me to imagine all those things than for you to imagine them.)
Seems like you might accidentally tip your server $25 U.S. instead of the $1 U.S. you intended.
I mean, maybe.
It hasn’t happened to me yet, but it could.
I mean, maybe.
I’m breaking that 500 peso note next chance I get.
