What we don’t need is another museum downtown that gets as much traffic as a mausoleum.
How about, instead of a cavernous hall that people will visit once in their lifetimes, maybe, we build a park, with statues and murals and maybe that most exotic of features in downtown El Paso, public restrooms. Maybe we could use that vacant lot those nice people at River Oaks razed those historic buildings off of.
Seems like a park might get traffic, and use, and we’d eliminate that blight that River Oaks left us.
Just a thought.
we have it already it. Lincoln Park. Murals, park, meeting space, murals. All it takes is for Escobar and Houghton and the rest of the power Chuco Koch groupies to allow it. Imagine the money it would save taxpayers. What a concept, no?
Oh and there’s bathrooms too!
