Here’s a piece in which computer giant Microsoft likens the United States government to accomplished, dedicated hackers.
The problem with The Government snooping around in our email accounts is that the designation “subversive” can be liberally applied if all the action is taking place out of public purview. And then the dissidents can get railroaded off to gulags for “public safety,” when really all they may be doing is making public officials uncomfortable. What takes place out of the public eye can be arbitrary.
I guess if Microsoft says what we all knew, that makes it somehow more official.
