For the people who doubt that Juarez is getting better, here’s evidence, from the El Paso Times:
Two men suspected in a shooting that wounded three people in Juárez on Friday were arrested after a vehicle chase, police officials said during the weekend.
. . .
At 1:55 p.m., police got calls of a shooting at Cuatro Siglos boulevard and Avenida Francisco Villarreal near the border in the east side of the city. Witnesses described the shooters and police soon chased and stopped a white Chevrolet Venture minivan.
See? The bad guys are reduced to pulling off their drive-bys in minivans. If that’s not a reflection of changing times in Juarez, I don’t know what is.
