Did you see this story in the El Paso Times? Much to my surprise, there’s a school on the east side of town with a robotics program!
It’s Harmony Science Academy. It’s part of a chain of public charter schools. According to their website, “Harmony Public Schools are high performing K-12 public charter schools in Texas that focus on science, technology, engineering, and math to provide opportinities [sic] for underserved communities.”
Okay, so maybe the language arts aren’t one of their priorities, but our local school did get the Distinction Designation from the TEA.
So if you don’t want your child cheated out of a first-rate education by our public schools, there’s always the charter option.
And, by the way, it looks like their football team is undefeated this year.
