Sunday Matinee: Pickup on South Street

Here’s a cold war era noir flick from back when the Soviet Union was a bad actor. How times have changed.
Starring Richard Widmark as a pickpocket. From 1953, with a nice jazzy score.

It’s pretty good, not so bad. Check it out.

  1. Eww, God. After just six minutes l had to shut that down and spray some Lysol, because that movie was stinkin’ up the joint. No offense Richard, but l haven’t seen acting that bad since l watched a City Council meeting where the members on Council promised to be fiscally responsible with their constituents’ money.
