Let’s Review

We’ve got a City Council ostensibly intent on attracting new, forward-thinking, businesses, and they’ve done what?

Refused to provide partial funding of a state-sponsored survey of the historic buildings downtown.

Allowed the El Paso Electric Company (EPEC) to charge a penalty to customers who install solar panels on their roofs.

    Are fixing to remove UBER.

Those kinds of action will convince any progressive company to forsake El Paso in favor of more enlightened places like Abilene, or Roswell.

El Paso needs to figure out who it wants to be before we have any chance of being it.

To paraphrase the Cheshire Cat, “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.”
