When the new City Manager takes over, will he replace the members of the City Administration who enabled all the bad conduct the citizens have endured? Will he, for instance, hire a new Chief Financial Officer? Our current Chief Financial Officer made wild projections based on wishful thinking instead of objective analysis.

Will the City replace the City Attorney? She seems to have made a series of poor legal decisions, resulting in serious schisms in support from the electorate. Even her former champion, Mayor Cook, threatened to sue the City over bad advice she proffered.

Many former high level managers at the City have retired. Likewise, some of our elected officials termed out. The mess they left behind was their going away gift.

Will El Paso’s job market be glutted with an oversupply of senior executives? Or will the enterprises of the oligarchs absorb the sudden flood of unemployed managers?
