Huh?

Here’s a quote form District 1 Representative Peter Svarzbein, from KVIA.

“El Paso sometimes gets destroyed under the stick when it comes to its transportation dollars from the state. So now we are getting our share. Short term there is a little bit of a pinch with traffic. But long term we are going to be setting ourselves up for better mobility and better economic development for the city and region,” Svarzbein said.

Destroyed under the stick?

Maybe his heart is pure.

  1. On TV, I heard him say, “the short end of the stick.” But maybe that was just me. . .

  2. The disturbing part here is the idea that four years of chaos on the entire west side of the city is “short term.” Anyone want to bet that it will be just four years? But not to worry, the trolley will be ready soon!
