Here Comes Trouble

La Polaka reports that Juarez is likely to be home to thousands of deportees.

Lemme help you out.

According to the guidelines revealed Tuesday, El Paso is a key city for Customs and Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement which would need new infrastructure for the expulsion of undocumented citizens of different countries.

Or something like that.

Sometimes I see those guys in Juarez. People who have been deported from the United States. They don’t have support networks in Juarez. Mexican culture is often foreign to them. Their skill sets don’t transfer to the Mexican economy.

What do you think thousands of deportees will do to Juarez?

Lots of them will probably join the illegal economy. As drug dealers, or sicarios, or prostitutes. Out of desperation.

Remember that the last big drug wars in Juarez coincided with the collapse of the world economy.

You better get over there before last call.

  1. I don’t think it is going to come to such a bad situation. For one thing, I think that son of a bitch in the White House will not last much longer, and sooner or later, somebody is going to let out enough real factual information that even his most rabid and ignorant supporters will wake up to the fact that he has scammed them all with this false fear.
