I’ve got a dumpster on the sidewalk in front of my house. [Across the street.] The dumpster is for the benefit of the apartments over there. Often the dumpster is overfull. Today, for instance.
The El Paso Disposal truck came by today and knocked a bunch of trash out of the dumpster onto the street. Then they dumped the dumpster into the back of the truck and drove off.
I called El Paso Disposal to advise them of the issue, and the nice lady (Martha) who answered the phone (772-7495) advised me that El Paso Disposal wasn’t responsible for their driver dumping trash onto the street. Then she asked me for the account number of the apartments across the street.
How would I know?
Then Martha told me to have a nice day, in a sugary sweet voice that sounded a lot like “F*** O**.”
If any private citizen had dumped their garbage on the street, I assume they would have been guilty of felony littering, if there is such a thing.
If you have a choice of dumpster service, if you want a beautiful El Paso, and if you’d like to reduce the amount of garbage on the street, (and I assume that you do), please choose an alternative to El Paso Disposal.
