El Paso police found more than a ton of marijuana in a van that broke down on a West Side street, officials said Monday.
Police found 2,275 pounds of marijuana inside a white Chevrolet van abandoned Friday afternoon in the 5600 block of North Desert Boulevard near Redd Road, officials said. There were no arrests.
Police showed up after they got a call of “narcotics use in progress” by people who had helped a driver push the stalled van out of traffic at 4:20 p.m. Friday on North Desert Boulevard, officials said.
Well, sure, it was 4:20.
